Madison with Katelyn's pig

After recovering from last weeks winter weather yet again....and a major case of cabin fever. This week has started off with a fury. Monday can be summed up in one word....hectic! Between trying to catch up in class for being gone last week, we had cheerleading and basketball last night. On top of that...as if that wasn't enough...when the coaches asked me to do the game books last night b/c Gayla was going to be gone....I could not say "NO". So there I was yesterday evening trying to watch the two little turds, manage cheerleaders, watch LC play, and trying to keep the game book. Crazy!!! Thankfully I had my trusty babysitter....Cassi....helping to coral the babies till Todd could make it to the game.
Spring tennis if officially in swing and Todd is busy making up lost time with practice. They have their first away match of the spring season this weekend. It is actually close enough that the girls and I are going to go and watch. I am not looking forward to the next 5 weeks because Todd will be gone most of the time. And as all of my buds know I am a big chicken about staying home alone.....so these coming weeks are going to leave me exhausted. There will not be much sleeping going on for me.....between sharing my king size bed with 3 children and two dogs.
Well enough about me....the girls are what most of ya want to know about. A good game last night. The JH lady dawgs pulled off another win...not surprised! They have a couple of very talented little girls. Anywho....LC did very well and scored two points. She plays very hard and wants her coaches to be proud of her. Her coaches are always commenting on how hard she works in practice to improve. Madison looked cute as always in her cheerleading suit....but of course she comes by that naturally :)
The girls ( Madison and Katelyn) are officially through with stock shows for the year. And although I did enjoy them...I am glad to have one less thing to worry about. We are pig free now and overall the girls did great. They took home breed champion, two 1st place ribbons, and two 4th place ribbons. Their Ag teacher told us this weekend that their pigs would have been good enough to go on to the big shows....but we just couldn't commit to that this year. Way to much going on but I promised the girls next year that if they have good pigs again we will go on. Katelyn really enjoyed the pigs and it was nice for her to have something to do since her sisters are so busy and she is getting left out these days.
The babies are doing great as usual. Karsen has actually grown some this winter. In a matter of a couple of months she has went from wearing a 24 mths to 4t. Maybe she is going to be tall like her dad after all. Avary is just going right along in school. She is very advanced for her age and I predict that she will be reading by the end of 1st six weeks of Kinder. It is very hard to believe that this fall all of my girls will be in school. Where does the time go?
